Here, you will find a perfect combination between French courses and snowshoes, in the heart of Corsica. You could satisfied your needs of knowledge and discovering the new places and new cultures.
Your week will look more like learning french in the morning and afternoon outside, discovering the nature.

Time and place of meeting : Day 1 : 11 am Ajaccio airport
Day 8 : back at 10 am Ajaccio airport or city centre
Disponibility : from 26/01 to 02/02, from 02/02 to 09/02, from 10/03 to 17/03, 24/03 to 31/03.
From 1115 euros/person (7 nights in guesthouse) + 31,5 euros/night for a single room.
About luggage : backpack with stuff for afternoon and on 5th day, with picnic for lunch.

Journey day by day
D1 : Welcoming to Ajaccio airport
Transfer to Capitello’s beach for a picnic or a lunch in a friendly restaurant in the heart of a typical Corse’s village who is calling Bastelica. After the lunch, we’ll go right to Ese’s plateau (more or less 1 hour). Distribution of hiking material.
We advice you to be dressed with your mountain equipment the first day.
From the station we will put snowshoes for hiking all around the stream until the hut of Foce d’Astre. From there, you ll get a view on all the valley and the Marmano forest. If the weather is good, walk on the crest with a sea view. +/- 200 to 300m of height difference / 2 to 3 hiking hours
Transfer to the mountain pass of Vizzavona (1h15) through the beautiful forest of beeches deemed for pulmonarias benefits.
Installation in yours rooms.
Before dinner, your guide and your French teacher will explain you some securities instructions about your walks and they will answer to yours questions about the week’s planning.
Every morning, breakfast will be serve from 7am to 8 am.
French courses will start at 08 :15 am at the same place.
D2 : Morning : French course
To present oneself

- To describe your physic, to describe another person.
- To say date, which language you speak, where are you come from, where do you live.
- To ask question about other.
Course will finish with game on what we do during the morning.

Afternoon : hiking
You ll discover the big Vizzavona’s forest down the “Monte d’Oru” and the Southwell ‘s cave. Your guide ll tell you about stories of our forests : 2/3h walking and +/- 300m.

For volunteers, we could play again games
D3 : Morning french course
Go out
- To order in a restaurant.
- Describe a city, speak about weather.
- To propose an outing , organize an appointment.
- To be situated.
The course will finish with games of orientation.

Afternoon hiking
Discovering sheepfolds all around Vizzavona. Hiking to waterfall « la cascade des anglaise », descent face to the valley.

D4 : Morning French course

- To read a recipe.
We ll finish the course by sharing receipts.

D5 : Hiking all the day. We will speak about the local fauna and flora.
We’ll walk on the GR20 trail to Bocca Palmente or Punta I Zorpi if the weather is good. We ll have a picnic at Shepherd’s Hut of Alzetu. Return by the 'lost woman” path. +/- 700 to 1050 m5/8h walking, its depend on weather and people.

D6 : Morning French course

Afternoon hiking
Starting from the Vizzavona’s pass, go to the shepherd's hut of Pozzi and climb up to Madonuccia stone statue. We ll get a view on 2 valleys and after we ll walk a nice descent on the path of la Femme perdue. +/- 400 or 600 m 4 or 6h

D7 : Morning French course
Memories
- To tell an situation, an action in the past.
- To tell about duration, surprise, speak about what we did in the past.
- To tell a memory, indicate chronology, frequency.
- To give advices, to express its needs.
This course will finish by a writing exercise about how we felt during this journey.
Lunch
Afternoon Hiking
Its depend of the snow, we ll spend the last day to Manganellu, for seeing his waterfall and basins. We ll take the GR 20 path to Tolla’s sheepfold. We ll go down the Manganellu and we could have a bath in the most beautiful basin.

Evening
For volunteers, a singing party either French and Corsican songs will be propose to you.
D8 : Departure to Ajaccio airport at 10 : 00 am.
Our bus can give you a stop in the centre of the city or at the airport.
